ok so i went for the netgear 7200 X10 SH3 into modem mode all works fine wifi is better and it sorted my invalid IP address issues. However yesterday about 3PM the original issue happend again wifi fine but no LAN connection, spoke to VM and they went through a reset process and i plugged a laptop directly to the SH3 and i had connection, then plugged the laptop into the Router and all seems A very good, clear and useful article. I am attempting to connect a new device to the router via wifi. The device is not functioning properly (no internet access). In the list of attached devices, it shows up but with no IP address assigned to it. What can cause this? The manufacturer of the device tells me that it uses DHCP so it should get assigned an IP.
