This is a brand new laptop I tried to download hamachi on. No matter what I do it refuses to connect. All of my internet setting are the exact same, the only thing that's different is my laptop. I have allowed hamachi to connect through my firewalls and it still wont connect. Then start Hamachi and see if it can connect. If it can, then something is not working properly in Device Management on your system, which might be caused by a driver (not necessarily a networking one). Troubleshooting this would be done by booting in safe mode, manually starting the virtual adapter, and then running Hamachi. Go to "Multiplayer" on the main menu and either click "Add a server" or "Direct connect". "AutoHamachi" is just service name and can name it yourself. If Hamachi is configure to run as a service, then it should not matter whether you just disconnect from the RDP sesssion, or log off, as it should be running in the background. You should check the services MMC to see that the service is there, and that it is running.
