Feb 15, 2019 · VPN connection drops every 10-15 minutes I have had AT&T Gigabit internet service for 9+ months. Since day 1, when I am using my laptop to connect to my company's VPN (using home WiFi network), I see that my connection to the VPN resets about every 10-15 minutes, continually, all day. This could be a software or hardware router filtering these packets or an unreliable Internet connection which is causing packet loss. What can you do? Change the port of the VPN protocol you use to connect, see how to change ports and protocols . I have been having the same issues. I've worked from home before (prior to Feb 2020) and never had any issue. My work VPN will drop at least every couple hours. I have to restart my computer to get connection again, just for it to drop again. I have called my work IT department.

If they can still reach internet sites but not the home office, it is likely a VPN issue independent of the internet connection. Building on this, you could run batch file that pings google all day to see if it is their internet dropping.
